Jo Child
Founder of Co-Women
Jo brings women in business together for support, growth and genuine fun. Co-Women, the Sussex community she founded, gives women the connections, events and backing to build a business without doing it alone.

What Co-Women offers
Community, networking and support
Community
Meaningful connections with women who understand the challenges of running a business and celebrate every win.
Networking
Regular events and workshops, face to face and online, built on getting to know each other rather than swapping cards.
Support
An empowering space that backs women personally and professionally, from pricing decisions to finding the right collaborators.
Candidate portfolio
Business is better together
Jo Child founded Co-Women so that ambitious women would never have to choose between growing their business and keeping their sanity. Based in Sussex, it has grown into a membership community where women network, collaborate and look out for one another, through meet-ups, workshops, coworking and socials.
Members describe it as networking done differently: informal, warm and free of competition. Because they get to know each other properly, they can recommend one another with real confidence, and many have found clients, business partners and lasting friendships along the way.
Jo is also a champion for women's health. Co-Women supports The Red Health Project, which is gathering women's experiences of gynaecological care in the UK to push for earlier referrals and better support.
She joined Expert to CEO® in 2026 to put the strategy and systems in place to take Co-Women beyond Sussex and open its doors to more women, including those who face greater barriers to building a business.
