Candidate portfolio
Rooted in experience
Evony Lynch is a birth educator, author and former midwife based in Cornwall. Her mission is to shine a light on physiological birth, helping women who want an undisturbed, natural birth prepare for it with knowledge and confidence, whether they are planning a homebirth, a VBAC or a healing birth after a difficult experience.
Her clinical career spans more than 20 years in independent and NHS practice across Wales, Spain, Plymouth and Cornwall. She trained with Michel Odent, sat on the MBRRACE-UK panel reviewing intrapartum stillbirth in low-risk midwifery-led settings, and in 2020 received an Iolanthe Midwifery Trust award to bring training in birth physiology and biomechanics to midwives at Royal Cornwall Hospital. Her writing has been published in RCM Midwives, The Practising Midwife and All4Maternity.
Since stepping away from midwifery in 2022, Evony has supported women as a doula. Today she guides them through her Whole Birth Pathway, her free Whole Birth community and Tend Your Birth, and shares her experience with new doulas and midwives.
Through Expert to CEO®, she is turning more than two decades of birth wisdom into programmes that can reach many more women.
